National Practitioners Data Bank
The Health Care Quality Improvement Act of 1986 led to the establishment of the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB), an information clearinghouse, to collect and release certain information related to the professional competence and conduct of physicians, dentists, and other health care practitioners. It requires that certain payments of medical malpractice claims be reported within 30 days of payment. Riverdale Claims Management provides guidance through the registration process and account set up, gathers data, and reports to NPDB and any applicable State Board to complete the requirements of Federal Reporting.
